Bushcraft & Survival Team skills


Learn essential wbushcraft skills that will enable your team to create a functioning expedition camp. Using a variety of techniques you will learn how to make your own comfortable natural shelter, how to light and manage a fire, how to arrange a fire for cooking and many other wilderness skills.

At the end of this experience you will have learned some very useful skills and acquired an enhanced understanding of the natural world and how it can provide for all the necessities of life.

A typical day with overnight stay includes:

Morning

Welcome Basic Skills Use of knives,
Axes & Saws Knots, Lashings,
Ropes & Frames Construction
Navigation

Afternoon
Woodland gathering of materials
Shelter Building
Friction Fire and other methods
Oven Building
Food preparation i.e. gutting fish or skinning rabbits and cooking

Evening:
Evening Meal & overnight camping - sleep in your own made shelter or tents

Breakfast next morning

Locations:
Brecon Beacons - (approx 3 miles from Brecon Town) Postcode: LD3 8BY
Set in the foothills of Pen Y Fan (the highest mountain in South Wales) this is a wild camping woodland area, next to a stream, a beautiful and remote location. Daytime and overnight bookings available.

The Wye Valley - (approx 3 miles from Chepstow)
Forest location with plenty of wildlife, an established bushcraft site- daytime bookings only (no overnight stays).
